About FOLC

We're a Missouri Synod Lutheran church located on Forest Oaks Blvd across the street from the post office. We offer captioning for the hearing impaired during our Sunday Service and Bible Class. We'd be excited to have you join us this Sunday!

History

On December 5, 1983, planning began for a new congregation in the Spring Hill area. On May 5, 1984, Mr. Alex Deeb donated the land that was to become the site for the new congregation. On May 11, 1984 Florida-Georgia District President Behnken met with 55 prospective members. Pastor Lehr was called to be the mission developer and was installed on December 2, 19. The first service of the still unnamed church was held on November 4, 1984 with 101 in attendance. On February 17, 1985, Mr. Deeb presented the deed to the congregation. On March 24, 1985 the congregation chose the name Forest Oaks Lutheran with the dedication on November 3, 1985. In October 1987, over 200 members attended the groundbreaking for the Fellowship Hall, which was dedicated on April 24, 1988. The groundbreaking for the current sanctuary was on May 17, 1998. The first service in the new sanctuary was on February 20, 2000.
